Halloween Film Festival Returns with Horror Classics
Adding to the week's cinematic offerings, the PVR INOX Halloween Film Festival brings Rosemary’s Baby and A Quiet Place back to the big screen.
Directed by Roman Polanski and adapted from Ira Levin’s novel, Rosemary’s Baby stars Mia Farrow, John Cassavetes, Ruth Gordon and Sidney Blackmer. As Rosemary becomes increasingly isolated during her pregnancy, she begins to suspect that those around her are concealing a sinister secret.
A Quiet Place, directed by John Krasinski and starring Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe, presents a different approach to horror. Set in a world inhabited by mysterious creatures that hunt by sound, the film follows the Abbott family as they struggle to survive by maintaining near-total silence while protecting one another.
Together, the two films offer audiences contrasting horror experiences, from psychological unease and growing paranoia to suspense built around silence and the constant threat of being heard.
