Bringing Fertility Education and Expert Care to the Heart of Gajuwaka
Gajuwaka, 24th May 2025 – In celebration of May as Mother’s Month, Oasis Fertility, India’s trusted fertility expert, launches a unique initiative, Oasis Janani Yatra – a 30-day, 30-town journey across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh starting from Gajuwaka – on this Mother’s Day. The event was inaugurated by MLA Vamsi Krishna Srinivas, Deputy Mayor Govind Reddy and Dr Radhika Potluri, Regional Medical Head and Fertility Specialist of Oasis Fertility along with other dignitaries.
With fertility rates in Andhra Pradesh declining to 1.7—well below the replacement threshold of 2.1—infertility has become a growing yet often overlooked public health concern. For most families, accessing fertility treatment means traveling to distant cities, a journey that brings not only financial strain but also emotional and logistical challenges, especially when treatment extends over several months. This highlights the urgent need for accessible, high-quality fertility care closer to home.
In light, “Oasis Janani Yatra”, a pioneering awareness initiative aimed at educating communities about the often-overlooked causes of infertility and the urgent need for proactive lifestyle changes, the camp was inaugurated as a crucial milestone in this journey. This unique outreach program features a state-of-the-art mobile fertility clinic that travels from Hyderabad to Tier II and Tier III towns, parking vital conversations around reproductive health. It offers free consultations with experienced fertility specialists, free AMH and haemoglobin testing for women, free semen analysis, and safe, hygienic sample collection zones.
More importantly, it hosts interactive educational sessions that demystify infertility, debunk common myths, and promote awareness about factors like age, stress, diet, sleep, environmental toxins, and delayed parenthood. One of the most concerning trends being addressed is the significant rise in male infertility, largely driven by modern-day stress, sedentary lifestyles, poor nutrition, exposure to pollutants, and digital device overuse. Despite contributing to nearly 40–50% of infertility cases, male factor infertility remains poorly understood and frequently ignored due to deep-rooted social stigmas and a lack of awareness.
By delivering science-backed information directly to the heart of communities, the Oasis Janani Yatra seeks to break the silence around infertility, dismantle long-standing stigmas, and empower both men and women to take proactive control of their reproductive health—especially at a time when lifestyle-related infertility is steadily rising. Through a multi-faceted approach and strong collaboration with government bodies, this initiative aims to ensure that compassionate, evidence-based fertility solutions reach underserved regions like Gajuwaka, where access and awareness remain critical gaps.
Dr Radhika Potluri, Regional Medical Head & Fertility Specialist, of Oasis Fertility, said, “Infertility is no longer just a medical issue—it’s a growing lifestyle concern. With rising cases linked to PCOD, delayed parenthood, and stress, early diagnosis is crucial. Through the Oasis Janani Yatra, we’re bringing expert care and advanced fertility solutions to the doorstep of underserved communities, ensuring timely support and hope for aspiring parents. By combining awareness with access, we aim to empower individuals to make informed decisions about their reproductive health”
