From ESG to Action: IHCL’s Bharat EkSaath Walkathon Across Over 200 Locations

Bengaluru, Mar 24: Indian Hotels Company Limited continues to strengthen its sustainability and social impact initiatives under Paathya, its ESG+ framework. Marking its fourth year, IHCL reinforced its commitment to responsible tourism with the Bharat EkSaath Walkathon – Bengaluru edition, an inclusive 3 km walk that brought together associates, families, partners, vendors, and communities across 14 countries and over 200 locations.

 Funds raised through the walkathon will support the Taj Public Service Welfare Trust (TPSWT), furthering IHCL’s long-standing commitment to community welfare and social impact.

In Bengaluru, the walkathon unfolded as a thoughtfully curated experience set against the heritage backdrop of Taj West End. Surrounded by the hotel’s iconic architecture and century-old gardens, the event combined purpose with hospitality, reflecting IHCL’s ethos of care, legacy, and collective responsibility.

The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from IHCL’s portfolio of hotels across the city, including Taj West End, Taj Yeshwantpur, Taj MG Road, Taj Bangalore, Vivanta Bengaluru Whitefield, Vivanta Bengaluru Residency Road, Ginger IRR, Ginger Whitefield, Taj Sats, and ama Stays & Trails properties such as Kuteeram and Mangirish Farmhouse, Alur.

The walkathon was flagged off by Thrilok Chandra K V, Secretary to Government, Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, along with Satyajeet Krishnan.

Participants walked through Bengaluru’s lush surroundings, symbolising unity, wellbeing, and a shared commitment to responsible living. The event concluded with a breakfast gathering, followed by the distribution of medals and certificates, celebrating participation and community spirit.

The Bengaluru edition of the Bharat EkSaath Walkathon reflects IHCL’s enduring philosophy of Tajness, where meaningful engagement and collective action create lasting impact. Through such initiatives, IHCL continues to foster a culture of sustainability, inclusivity, and community-driven responsibility across its global footprint.
