20 KL Deemed to be University Professors Featured in Stanford-Elsevier 2025 Global Scientists List

Vijayawada/Hyderabad, October 4, 2025: KL Deemed to be University proudly announced that 20 of its faculty members from the Vijayawada and Hyderabad campuses have been featured in the Stanford–Elsevier 2025 list of the World’s Leading Scientists. Compiled by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier, this prestigious global ranking recognizes researchers for their significant impact based on international citation metrics.

20 KL Deemed to be University Professors

The recognition spans a wide range of disciplines, reflecting the University’s growing stature as a research-intensive institution in India.

In Electronics and Communication Engineering, the honored faculty include Dr. B. T. P. Madhav, Dr. Ahammad, Dr. Ch. Santosh, Dr. Atul Kumar, Dr. Sandip Swarnakar, Dr. Santosh Kumar, Dr. D. Venkata Ratnam, and Dr. Yesudasu — known for their pioneering work in antennas, communication systems, and signal processing.

The Computer Science and Engineering department is represented by Dr. Gandharba Swain and Dr. B. Usha Rani, while Dr. Arpit Jain brings recognition to the CSE (Honors) division.

From Mechanical Engineering, Dr. B. Nageswara Rao, Dr. Priyaranjan Sharma, and Dr. Atul Bhattad were recognized for contributions to design, manufacturing, and materials science. In Biotechnology, Dr. M. Janakiramaiah and Dr. Ragini Singh were acknowledged for impactful research in molecular biology and applied biotechnology.

The Physics department is represented by Dr. S. Shanmugan, Dr. Sk. Mahamuda, and Dr. Z. Rahman, while Dr. Seethi R. Reddi Sekhar from KLH Bachupally was recognized in Mathematics.

Congratulating the awardees, Chancellor Er. Koneru Satyanarayana said:“The global visibility achieved by our faculty is a proud moment for KL University and reflects our unwavering commitment to academic and research excellence. These achievements not only validate the strength of our faculty but also inspire the next generation of researchers to pursue high-impact, meaningful work.”

The Stanford–Elsevier rankings are widely regarded as one of the most credible indicators of scientific influence. The lists are derived from the Scopus database and use a composite metric that includes total citations, h-index, and author-specific contributions across publications. Two lists are published annually — one for lifetime impact and another for recent-year performance. The 2025 edition includes over 371,000 scientists worldwide, using data up to August 1, 2025.

This recognition marks yet another milestone in KL Deemed to be University’s journey toward becoming a globally recognized hub for research, innovation, and academic leadership.
