Mirchi Matripokkho Makes History with 1000 Hours of Pujo Celebration

India, 11th November, 2025:  Bengal’s biggest festivals just got even bigger! This year, Mirchi Bangla creates history with 1,000 hours of uninterrupted LIVE entertainment, a first-of-its-kind celebration that captures the madness, magic, and essence of Durga Pujo and Kali Pujo like never before.

This Pujo marks a celebration of double history. While Mirchi takes the festival LIVE for 1,000 hours across Bengal, its iconic property Sunday Suspense has surpassed 3 million subscribers on YouTube, clocking an extraordinary 1.2 billion lifetime views and 372.6 million hours of watch time. With this, Sunday Suspense cements its place as Bengal’s most-loved audio storytelling series.

Expanding beyond Kolkata, Mirchi spread the Pujo cheer to Siliguri, Asansol, and Durgapur. From bustling city pandals to neighbourhood RWAs, from iconic hotspots to surprise LIVE sessions on the streets, Mirchi RJs were everywhere, bringing untold Pujo stories and engaging listeners with fun games, contests, gifts, exciting giveaways, and more.

The festivities reached new heights when Superstar Jisshu Sengupta unveiled Mirchi’s special Pujo song, sung by Ujjaini Mukherjee, Sourav Chatterjee, and Shreyoshi ChakrabortyTollywood’s finest once again joined hands with Mirchi to make this celebration bigger and grander.

The excitement continued as Mirchi celebrated Kali Pujo with equal grandeur. For the first time ever, the network introduced the Shyamasree Award, a unique recognition that celebrates the devotion, creativity, and iconic artistry of Bengal’s most loved Kali Pujo organisers. As part of this initiative, Mirchi RJs visited pandals across the city to capture the power of Maa Kali’s worship and the vibrant spirit of Shyamaratree.

Furthermore, the Pujo madness didn’t stop at the studios as our Mirchi Branded Car, a.k.a. Bahan, and the Mirchi Singhabahini travelled through the streets of Bengal, led by star RJs Ayantika, Neel, Manali, Mohor, Sayan, and Indroneel.
