The collaboration reflected a shared belief in the power of cinema to open conversations around justice, dignity, and lived realities.

The evening was made possible with the support and partnership of Times Now Network and Junglee Pictures, the producers of the film.

The screening brought together 70+ senior members of Delhi’s legal community, including Mrs. Pallavi Shroff, Mr. Shardul Shroff, Ms. Shweta Shroff, Ms. Shally Bhasin along with notable Judges, senior advocates from the Supreme Court and various High Courts, as well as in-house legal counsels. Many attendees noted that the film sparked meaningful conversations and offered fresh perspectives on social and legal issues.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Nayana Bijli, Founder, The Rani Fund, said,

“Cinema has a rare ability to bring difficult conversations into the open—gently, honestly, and with empathy. Through The Rani Fund, we want to create spaces where stories spark reflection and dialogue around issues that matter, and where audiences leave not just moved, but thinking.”

Ms. Shweta Shroff, Partner, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas added,

“Cinema offers a perspective that complements legal thinking by placing people and lived experiences at the centre. This screening created a thoughtful bridge between law and storytelling, encouraging conversations that extend beyond the courtroom.”
