Total Environment Unveils New Phase of V45 Earth-Sheltered Villas at After the Rain, Bengaluru

Dec 11: Total Environment, the design-led housing firm founded in 1996 by Shibanee & Kamal Architects, continues to set benchmarks in sensitively designed homes with its villa community, After the Rain, located in North Bangalore – just 15 minutes from the airport.

Spread across 48 acres with over 65% green cover, After the Rain is crafted to seamlessly integrate modern living with nature. The community features earth-sheltered villas with signature curved green roofs, restoring the green cover lost during construction while regulating temperatures, reducing rainwater run-off, and fostering biodiversity.

At the heart of the community are the V45 villas  thoughtfully designed 3-bedroom residences featuring 3 private gardens with a built-up area of 4,824 sq. ft. and carpet area of 3,809 sq. ft. Each home offers handcrafted natural finishes, expansive courtyards, and large glass doors that blur boundaries between indoors and outdoors. Homeowners can design every detail through Total Environment’s proprietary eDesign platform, creating spaces that are truly their own.

Designed as a low-density, pedestrian-friendly neighbourhood, After the Rain offers a wide range of lifestyle amenities: a clubhouse with an open-to-sky swimming pool, gym, multipurpose hall, guest suites, indoor games, library, café, sports courts (badminton, squash, tennis), golf simulator, amphitheatre, jogging and cycling tracks, and more. It combines the privacy of independent villa living with the vibrancy of a close-knit community.

Kamal Sagar, Founder and Principal Architect, Total Environment, said;

 “At Total Environment, we believe homes should be deeply personal  crafted with natural materials, designed to bring people closer to nature, and built to last for generations. With the launch of the V45 villas, we continue our journey of creating sensitively designed and meticulously crafted spaces that allow families to truly feel at home.”

After the Rain is a RERA-approved project, with 71 families already living in earlier phases
