Chandigarh,Jan 03: Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, today announced the signing of a Taj hotel in Mohali, Punjab. This is a greenfield project.
Ms. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President –Real Estate & Development, IHCL said,
“Mohali’s emergence as a thriving IT and commercial centre is a key growth market in Punjab. This, coupled with the state’s increasing appeal as a preferred destination for weddings and social events, aligns with our strategy to expand in such high-potential markets.”
The 225-key Taj Mohali will offer uninterrupted views of the surrounding greenery. The hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, and a specialty restaurant, providing a range of culinary options. Leisure and wellness facilities will include a swimming pool, a gym, a health club, and Taj’s signature J Wellness Circle. With a banqueting space of over 26,000 sq. ft., the hotel will offer the largest event venue in the region, ideal for weddings, corporate functions and social gatherings.
Mohali, a planned city in Punjab is known for its modern infrastructure and is home to several IT companies, educational institutions and sports facilities.
