IIT Roorkee organized Awareness Session on

Roorkee, Mar 23: Design Innovation Center, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) organized an Awareness Session on ‘MSME Innovative (Design) Scheme’: Industry-Academia Interface in collaboration with Department of Design, IIT Roorkee; Development and Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO), Haldwani & Dehradun, at Hotel Ramada by Wyndham, Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

The core objective of this scheme is to bring the Indian manufacturing sector and Design expertise/ Design fraternity onto a common platform. The scheme aims to provide expert advice by experienced designers for cost-effective solutions of real-time design problems, new product development, its continuous improvement and value addition in existing/new products.

Prof. Inderdeep Singh, Dean, Infrastructure and Coordinator, Design Innovation Center, IIT Roorkee, coordinated the series of four programs under the MSME Innovative (Design) Scheme in the current Financial Year. Officials from DIC, IIT Roorkee shared the details of the MSME Innovative (Design) Scheme to the participants from MSME units and other organization. Dr. S.K. Newar, Director & Head of Office, Development and Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO), Haldwani & Dehradun; Sh. S.C. Kandpal, Deputy Director, Development and Facilitation Office (DFO-MSME), Haldwani; Sh. Amit Mohan, Assistant Director, Development and Facilitation Office (DFO-MSME), Haldwani; and Officials from Government agencies were present during the event. Additionally, representatives from the various regional industries and MSME units were benefitted from the discussion during the event.
