Over 60 School Leaders Participate in Jaipuria Schools’ Annual Principals’ Meet in Lucknow
June 05: Seth M.R. Jaipuria Schools concluded the 2026 edition of its Annual Principals‘ Meet. Conducted under the banner of Jaipuria Leadership Programme (JLP), the group’s institutionalised leadership development initiative, the event brought together over 60 Jaipuria Group senior leaders, representing campuses across more than 50 cities in India, to discuss leadership development, academic planning and institutional review.
Discussions during the programme focused on school culture, faculty development, student wellbeing, academic excellence and the changing expectations of schools under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Sessions also examined the use of technology to support teaching, learning and school administration.
The discussions also explored how school leaders can move beyond school management to become lead learners in an evolving educational landscape shaped by artificial intelligence, changing expectations and the need for continuous growth. Setting the tone for this conversation, Mr. Kanak Gupta, Director, Seth M.R. Jaipuria Schools, observed, “The world has changed more rapidly than we imagined, and AI tomorrow will be a hundred-thousand times more advanced than the AI we have today. The least we can do is keep up. The work for 2100 begins with culture, not technology.”
The programme featured peer-learning exchanges and institutional review exercises that enabled school leaders to share experiences, discuss challenges and identify practices that can be adapted across campuses through presentations using the innovative Pecha Kucha way of Japanese storytelling.
The programme also encouraged leaders to examine how school culture, data-driven decision making, feedback systems and parent partnerships can contribute to stronger learning environments and institutional growth.
A significant announcement at the meet was the unveiling of the Jaipuria Classroom EDGE, a renewed approach to classroom observation that formally replaces the group’s earlier audit-based system. Rooted in reflection, evidence and continuous improvement, the framework repositions classroom observation as a developmental process for teachers rather than an evaluative one.
Speaking about the shift, Mr. Arijit Ghosh, VP-Academics, Seth M.R. Jaipuria Schools, said, “The word ‘audit’ is out of our system. We are not coming to your school to find faults; we are coming to observe, together. Teacher monitoring is no longer policing performance; it is coaching growth.”Seth M.R. Jaipuria Schools have conducted Benchmark Assessments in Grades 3, 5 and 8 over the past four years. Presenting a four-year analysis, Mr. Arijit Ghosh, VP-Academics, highlighted that performance gains between baseline and endline improved from 2.9% in Year 1 to 6.9% in Year 3 through sustained teacher support and student practice interventions, while lower participation in Year 4 impacted overall gains. The findings reinforced the importance of consistent participation and classroom support in improving learning outcomes.
A key highlight of the programme was the formal launch of “Jagriti” — a Student Leadership Lab for the Council of Student Leaders of Seth M.R. Jaipuria Schools. The initiative aims to nurture leadership qualities among students from an early age and strengthen student participation across campuses.
