Depot48 Hosts Cardamom and The Frisky Rollers for an Evening of Original Music

New Delhi, Mar 13: Over the past decade, Depot48 has built a loyal following as a space dedicated to original music and independent artists. Known for its carefully curated programming and intimate listening environment, the venue continues to champion emerging voices from across the country. This week, Depot48 hosts Cardamom and The Frisky Rollers.

Founded by guitarist, composer, singer and songwriter Ashish Sharma, Cardamom and The Frisky Rollers is a collaborative musical initiative that brings together exceptional performers united by a shared love for original music. What began as an idea that Sharma had spoken about for over a decade finally took shape with the addition of Amrish on drums and Neeraj on bass, both from Dehradun. The trio brings a sound rooted in experimentation, simplicity and a collective creative spirit, reflecting the belief that great music often emerges from collaboration and shared experiences.

The project celebrates the joy of performing original compositions and creating space for artists to connect with audiences through authentic expression. In a live setting, the group aims to deliver an intimate yet energetic musical experience that reflects their evolving sound and artistic journey.

Ashish Sharma, Guitarist, Composer, Singer and songwriter, says, “Cardamom and The Frisky Rollers was a project that lived in conversations and ideas for years before it finally came together. When the right musicians came along, the music naturally followed. Our strength really lies in learning from each other and keeping things simple. Sharing our original music with a live audience is going to be an absolutely amazing experience.”

Cardamom and The Frisky Rollers has been co-curated by Eena Bagga, the founder of Eclectrik Sounds, who over the last year has been an incubator of artists from the Doon Valley. She says that Depot48 is her favourite indie music venue in New Delhi and is the best possible exposure for talent to audiences.

For Depot48, the performance reflects its ongoing commitment to nurturing India’s independent music ecosystem.

“Depot has always been about creating a space where artists can bring their own voice and audiences can discover something new. Projects like Cardamom and The Frisky Rollers reflect that spirit of originality and collaboration that has always been at the heart of what we do here,” says Vikas Narula, Co-Founder, Depot48.

“Original music deserves spaces where both the artists and the sound are treated with care. At Depot, we’ve always tried to build an environment where musicians can perform their own compositions and audiences can truly listen. Performances like this are exactly why the venue exists,” adds Girjashanker Vohra, Co-Founder, Depot48.
