CARE Hospitals Pledges Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Healthcare on World Environment Day 2025
Hyderabad, 6th June 2025: CARE Hospitals, one of India’s leading healthcare providers, celebrated World Environment Day 2025 with a group-wide initiative under the theme “Ending Plastic Pollution,” reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible healthcare practices.

The initiative was inaugurated by Mr. Vishal Maheshwari, Group Chief Financial Officer, in the presence of senior leadership including Dr. Amit Singh, Chief Human Resources Officer; Mr. Rajeev Chourey, Vice President – Quality, ESG & Operations; Mr. Vinod Raman, CTO; Ms. Vincy Ashok Tribhuvan, Vice President – Nursing Administration; and Mr. Shiva Kumar, Vice President – Projects & engineering along with hospital heads and doctors. The multi-day program involved employees across CARE Hospitals units, fostering awareness and action through a range of creative and impactful activities.
 
A key highlight of the campaign was the collective pledge taken by all CARE employees to uphold environmental safety, reduce plastic use, and contribute to a greener workplace. This symbolic yet powerful gesture reflected the organization’s united commitment to sustainable healthcare.
 
Other activities included a plastic usage audit, ecofriendly swaps, oration contests, poster displays, green desk makeovers, and the “Plant a Memory” drive where employees planted saplings to symbolize long-term commitment to the cause. Employees also shared innovative ideas and visuals highlighting plastic waste hazard and ecofriendly alternatives.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vishal MaheshwariGroup Chief Financial Officer, CARE Hospitals, said, “Building a sustainable future is not just about financial growth—it’s about creating lasting value for our communities and the planet. This initiative reflects our focus on integrating environmental responsibility into everything we do.”
 
Adding to this, Mr. Rajeev Chourey, Vice President – Quality, ESG & Operations, said, “Environmental sustainability is an integral part of delivering quality healthcare. Through this campaign, we’re empowering our teams to take ownership of ecofriendly practices that improve both patient outcomes and community well-being.”
 
With this initiative, CARE Hospitals has reaffirmed its dedication to being a socially and environmentally responsible healthcare provider, integrating sustainability into its everyday operations.
